WHERE DO YOU PRODUCE YOUR GOODS? 

All of our leather goods are produced in our atelier in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL STORES? 

MegaFinery is a unique entity. We don't currently have any physical stores or sell to other third-party purveyors.

WHERE CAN I BUY MEGAFINERY PRODUCTS?

MegaFinery is no longer operation. This website serves as a portfolio of our past creations.

MATERIAL METHODOLOGY

WILL MY GOOD LOOK EXACTLY AS PICTURED?  

In terms of design and hardware placement, yes, the goods will appear exactly as viewed on our website in our atelier shop. Please note, colour may vary. Each hide is unique and will absorb the dye in a distinct way. We cannot guarantee the product colour will appear exactly as seen on our website. 

AUTHENTICITY: 

All MegaFinery items are branded with the official MegaFinery logo for brand authenticity.

BESPOKE AND MADE-TO-ORDER GOODS:

All designs and made-to-order goods undertaken by MegaFinery as part of a bespoke/custom order remain the sole property of MegaFinery for design and copyright purposes. Any commissions, adjustments or amendments to MegaFinery designs, or creation of new products, remain the property of MegaFinery. 

WHAT IS YOUR DESIGN PROCESS?

Every leather artefact made in our Calgary-based studio is created in the time-honoured traditions of leathercraft. Classic craftsmanship is juxtaposed with the use of modern technology and a signature approach to innovative design. We use locally-sourced hides selected and brought back to our atelier ahead of the production process.  

Our products are designed digitally on advanced design software. Our in-house laser cutter cuts the leather (based on user’s measurements) and engraves the surface. We dye, stitch and assemble the leather goods by hand.  

DO YOU OFFER PERSONALIZATION?

Yes. Each and every MegaFinery product may be personalized. We use laser-cutting technology to engrave the products. We offer various font choices and sizes. Engraving will appear black. Engraving on black leather will appear as 'black on black', seen as a depth difference. Contact us if you have specific font requirements.

All MegaFinery products are made-to-order based on measurements provided at checkout. Please review our measurement chart here. 

LEATHERCRAFT

WHAT KIND OF LEATHER DO YOU USE? 

Leather’s natural durability and versatility distinguishes it as an unparallelled material - genuinely distinct & individually variant. We exclusively use top grade, 100% locally-sourced (Calgary), cow-hide leather.  Similar to our human skin, each leather hide contains its own one-of-a-kind markings and oil content.  These unique properties, like a fingerprint, will never occur more than once in nature. 

It is natural to see some scarring, stretch marks and ‘imperfections’ on the surface of the leather. The markings are the hallmark of a natural material.

We never use fake or synthetic hides.   

Leather is a by-product of the food industry.  If hides go unused, they will end up in the landfills.

WHAT TYPE OF DYE DO YOU USE?

We use an eco-friendly water-based stain and a cream-based sealant.
